Kodaikanal trip from Tripbae

You are here after Manjummel Boys, we know. Kodaikanal is a hill town of Tamil Nadu. The word ‘Kodaikanal’ in the language of the land means “The gift of the forest”. Kodaikanal right now is a great time to go there yet the best time to go there is between October to March, in the winter. This town is smaller than ooty as well. The town is centered around the star shaped man-made lake – Kodai lake which is the center of attraction as well as geographical center of the town.

This backpacking trip will keep you going for a whole month, we promise!

Inclusions

Stay, Food, Travel and Trek Guide.

Food : Vegetarian. 2 breakfast and 1 dinner will be provided by Tripbae, for the entire trip.
Stay Type: Dormitory. Separate Rooms for Men and Women.
Travel by: Non-AC with pushback seats, Tempo Traveller (11 people), Mini- bus (15-20 people) or Big Bus (22-30 people) – depends on the number of people.
Trek Guide: An experienced trek guide, who will guide you the entire trip.

Meet at the chosen starting point in Bengaluru and embark on your journey to Kodaikanal via private transportation.

We'll pick up our fellow explorers at the following locations. Click on each location to see the exact pickup point.

08:00 PM: Start from Goraguntepalya
08:10 PM: Next stop, Yeshwanthpur
08:20 PM: Assemble at KTM Mekhri Circle
08:40 PM: Picking up at MG Road
09:00 PM: Meet us at Domlur
09:20 PM: Join at Koramangala
09:40 PM: Board at Silk Board
10:00 PM: Last pickup at Electronic City

Start your journey from Bangalore to Kodaikanal at 9 PM. The distance is approximately 465 km and it takes around 9 hours by road. You will arrive in Kodaikanal early in the morning.

09:00 AM: Visit Silver Cascade Falls.

10:00 AM: Reach Stay by 10 am. Have breakfast, freshen up and get into the vehicle at the time told by the trip guide.

02:00 PM: Visit Moir Point by 2 pm.

02:30 PM - 06:00 PM: Have Lunch*Self Sponsored. Cover Pine Forest, Guna Caves, Pillar Rocks and finally reach Poombarai Village for the Sunset View Point by 6 pm.

06:00 pm: After the sunset, get into the vehicle to reach the campsite, and savor your tea/coffee. Enjoy the warmth of the campfire, sharing stories and experiences with fellow travelers. Dinner will be served and retire for the night.

06:00 AM: Be ready by the time the trip lead tells you, have breakfast and leave to reach Dolphin Nose by 6am.

11:00 AM: Reach Solar Observatory Museum by 11am.

01:00PM: Have Lunch*Self-Sponsored and reach Coaker's Walk by 1 pm.

02:30 PM : Reach Kodai Lake Boating(*Self-Sponsored activity) by 2:30 pm. Spend time there and leave for Bengaluru.

05:00 AM: Arrive in Bangalore. The drop-off points will be the same as the pickup points.

Please bear in mind that this itinerary is subject to change based on weather conditions and other variables. Furthermore, the timings provided are approximate and could vary depending on the group's pace.

-Xerox Copy of your Aadhar/Voter ID (Mandatorily required for permits)
-Small backpack to carry your essentials during the trek
-Water bottles 1-2 (1 liter each)
-Raincoat (poncho)/Bag covers in case of rains
-A comfortable pair of shoes with good grip for trekking with extra pair of socks
-Torch/Headlamp to be used at night
-Portable chargers for your electronics
-Extra pair of clothes to change into once wet
-Polybags to pack your wet clothes
-Eatables during trek Energy Booster, Tissues, Chocolates, Dry fruits, etc -Personal Medication-Snacks for yourself
