Skandagiri, also known as Kalavara Durga, is a mountain fortress located approximately 62 km from Bangalore city, and 3 km from Chikballapur in the Indian state of Karnataka. It is off Bellary Road (National Highway 7 Hyderabad-Bangalore Highway) and overlooks Nandi Hills and Muddenahalli. The peak is at an altitude of about 1450 meters. It is accessed from Kalavara village, which has a population of 1093 according to the 2011 census.

Meet at the designated starting point in Bengaluru and travel to Skandagiri by private transportation

▪️ 11:30 PM - Banashankari Bus Stop
▪️ 11:50 PM - BTM, Udupi Garden Signal Near Bharath Petroleum
▪️ 12:00 AM - Silkboard Bus stop
▪️ 12:30 AM - Bellandur Near Shell Petrol Pump
▪️ 01:00 AM - Marathahalli Opp to Kalamandir
▪️ 01:20 AM - Tin Factory Near HP Petrol Pump

There might be a 5/15 mins delay or early to each pickup point

▪️ 02:00 am: Arrive at the base of the hill and take a quick power nap or walk under the starry skies

▪️ 03:30 am: Start the trek after a short briefing from the guides

▪️ 05:30 am: Reach the summit and enjoy a breathtaking view of the sunrise among the clouds

▪️ 07:00 am: Begin the descent down the hill

▪️ 09:00 am: Reach the base and head back to Bangalore

▪️ 09:30 am: On the way back to Bangalore visit Bhoga Nandishwara Temple

▪️ 09:30 am: Stop on the way to freshen up and have some nice Self-sponsored* breakfast

▪️ 11:00 am: Arrive back in Bangalore and drop points are the same as pick points
