Journey to Somvarpet
As the sun sets over Bangalore, our adventure begins as we head towards the Somvarpet. We'll embark on a comfortable journey of 280 km in a Tempo Traveler or a Minibus with push-back seats, ensuring a smooth ride for our hikers.
We'll pick up our fellow explorers at the following locations. Click on each location to see the exact pickup point.
Note for the entire trip: The travel time may vary depending on the traffic and road conditions. Yet, we will make sure that we will cover all the places on the itinerary.
06:00 AM - 9:30 AM: Arrival and check-in at your accommodation. Freshen up and enjoy a sumptuous breakfast.
10:00 AM – 11:00 AM: Visit Kushal Nagar Harangi Elephant Camp for an optional close encounter with elephants (activities are self-sponsored).
11:00 AM – 12:30 PM: Engage in elephant feeding at Harangi Camp, beautifully located by the Kaveri River.
12:30 PM – 02:00 PM: Enjoy lunch at a nearby local restaurant (self-sponsored).
02:00 PM – 03:30 PM: Travel to Mallalli Falls, taking approximately 1.5 hours.
03:30 PM – 05:00 PM: Explore the scenic Mallalli Falls.
06:30 PM: Return to your accommodation for an evening of campfire stories and a delightful dinner.
04:00 AM – 05:30 AM: Wake up and prepare for the day's trek (wake-up call provided).
06:30 AM – 10:30 AM: Journey to and ascend Kumara Parvatak Peak, a 4-hour trek.
10:30 AM – 11:30 AM: Enjoy a packed breakfast and the breathtaking views from the peak.
11:30 AM – 12:30 PM: Trek to and reach Shesha Parvatha, taking about 1 hour.
12:30 PM – 02:00 PM: Begin the descent to Kallu Mantapa, taking approximately 1.5 hours.
02:00 PM – 03:00 PM: Continue descending to reach Bhattara Mane in about 1 hour.
03:00 PM – 03:30 PM: Enjoy a packed lunch at Bhattara Mane.
03:30 PM – 06:30 PM: Complete the downhill trek to Kukke Subramanya, taking about 3 hours.
06:30 PM – 09:00 PM: Refresh and enjoy a self-sponsored dinner during your free time.
09:00 PM: Depart for Bangalore by vehicle.
04:00 AM: Reach Bengaluru
Drop-off Points: The drop-off points will be the same as the pick-up points to ensure convenience for all travelers. Please ensure you have all your belongings before leaving the vehicle.

🏡Once you’ve reached your drop-off point, it’s time to head home, take a well-deserved rest, and start planning your next adventure!

▪️ 10:00 PM – New Year’s Eve Festivities: Kick off the New Year’s Eve celebrations with a campfire, scrumptious food, and music at the Stay.
Festive Fun: Enjoy an evening filled with fire sparklers, sky lanterns, cake cutting on the stay, and lots more to make this New Year's Eve your most memorable one yet! Enjoy the campfire, share stories and experiences with fellow travellers, have dinner, and retire for the night.
You will have to reach all the places on time as per the itinerary, by yourself. You will also need to synchronize your arrival times with the trek leader in case the Tripbae vehicle's journey experiences any delays. Other than that, accommodation, guidance, permits, and the rest which are mentioned in the included list are included.

You would be added to a WhatsApp group a day or two before the trip date where all the last-minute information is shared. An email is also sent including important information about the trip.
Who can I contact for personal issues on or before the trip?
Your luggage will need to be carried to the Bhattara Mane Base Camp, which entails a 5-hour journey. After this, you can carry only the essentials for the trek.
The safety and security of women/girls are paramount to us. Hence, it's entirely safe for women/girls to participate in our treks and travels. Our trek leaders always accompany the group, offering constant assistance and direction. Our campsites are thoroughly secure and provide a safe lodging environment. In addition, our female trek leaders often join our treks.
Unfortunately, it's not feasible to reschedule your trek to a future date if you're unable to attend on the designated day, regardless of the circumstances (like family emergencies, health problems, or work commitments).
