Day 0 - Departure from Bengaluru

Journey to Gokarna!

As the sun sets over Bangalore, our adventure begins as we head towards Gokarna. We'll embark on a comfortable journey of 460 km in a Tempo Traveler or a Minibus with push-back seats, ensuring a smooth ride for our hikers.

We'll pick up our fellow explorers at the following locations. Click on each location to see the exact pickup point.

Note for the entire trip: The travel time may vary depending on the traffic and road conditions. Yet, we will make sure that we will cover all the places on the itinerary.

Day 1: Embrace the Natural Beauty of Gokarna’s Beaches

- 9:00 AM – Arrival at Campsite: Begin your adventure by arriving at the campsite, freshen up, and prepare for a day filled with stunning landscapes and tranquil beaches.

- 10:00 AM – Breakfast and Campsite Tour: Savor a hearty breakfast and explore the beautiful surroundings of your temporary home.

- 11:00 AM – Head to Mirjan Fort

- 01:00 PM –Pause for a self-sponsored lunch, choosing from local delicacies at nearby eateries.

- 02:30 PM – Head to Om beach: Proceed to the iconic Om Beach, known for its distinct shoreline that resembles the Om symbol. 

- 3:30 PM – Enjoy Om Beach: Spend quality time relaxing at Om Beach, one of Gokarna’s most famous spots.

- 4:30 PM – Forest Trek to Kudle Beach: Trek through lush forests to reach Kudle Beach.

- 5:00 PM – Sunset at Kudle Beach: Experience a mesmerizing sunset at Kudle Beach, a perfect end to an eventful day.

- 7:30 PM – Return to Campsite: Return to the campsite for an evening tea and restful night under the stars.

Day 2: From Cascading Falls to Historic Forts

- 07:00 AM – Wake up call

- 08:00 AM – Freshen up, have breakfast and get ready for a cultural visit

- 09:00 AM – Visit Mahabaleshwar Temple: Experience the divine at the Gokarna Temple, a key spiritual site.

* NOTE: Dress Code is generally Traditional Attire for Mahabaleshwar Temple i.e. For Men - Dhotis or Mundus & for Women - sarees, salwar kameez, or other traditional outfits that cover their shoulders and knees. Clothing like jeans, shorts, and revealing attire are not permitted.

- 11:00 AM – Departure for Vibhooti Falls: Start early and head to the enchanting Vibhooti Falls.

- 01:00 PM – Explore Vibhooti Falls: Enjoy the serene ambiance and natural beauty; swimming is an option for the adventurous.

- 2:00 PM – Lunch at a Local Restaurant (Self-Sponsored): Enjoy a meal at a local eatery before proceeding to the next destination.

- 03:00 PM – Journey to Yana Caves: Next, visit the mystical Yana Caves, renowned for their unique rock formations.

- 03:30 PM – Discover Yana Caves: Spend time exploring the caves and their geological wonders.

- 6:00 PM – Return to Accommodation: Head back to your stay, freshen up, and rest for the evening.

Day 3: Spiritual and Natural Wonders

07:00 AM – 08:00 AM: Freshen up, have breakfast and checkout of homestay

10:00 AM – 12:30 PM: Visit Murudeshwar temple and Shiva Statue

01:00 PM – 02:30 PM: Enjoy a peaceful walk in the Mangrove Broadwalk

02:30 PM – 03:30 PM: Have Lunch (*Self Sponsored)

04:00 PM – 06:00 PM: Enjoy Boating at Honnavara Backwaters i.e. if venue is open (Venue closes if there is bad weather). In case of venue closure, Visit the mighty Jog Falls.

06:30 PM: Head back to Bangalore

09:00 PM: Stop for dinner on the way (*Self Sponsored)

Day 4 - Homeward Bound

05:00 AM – Reach Bangalore

Drop-off Points: The drop-off points will be the same as the pick-up points to ensure convenience for all travelers. Please ensure you have all your belongings before leaving the vehicle.

What is included and not in the without-travel package?

You will have to reach all the places on time as per the itinerary, by yourself. You will also need to synchronize your arrival times with the trek leader in case the Tripbae vehicle's journey experiences any delays. Other than that, accommodation, guidance, permits, and the rest which are mentioned in the included list are included.

Is it safe for females?

The safety and security of women/girls are paramount to us. Hence, it's entirely safe for women/girls to participate in our treks and travels. Our trek leaders always accompany the group, offering constant assistance and direction. Our campsites are thoroughly secure and provide a safe lodging environment. In addition, our female trek leaders often join our treks.

Can I reschedule my trek to a future date if I am unable to attend on the day of departure?

Unfortunately, it's not feasible to reschedule your trek to a future date if you're unable to attend on the designated day, regardless of the circumstances (like family emergencies, health problems, or work commitments). Are solo travellers allowed to join?

Yes, solo travelers are more than welcome on our trips. The beauty of solo travel lies in the chance to connect with individuals from varied backgrounds. As the journey unfolds, unfamiliar faces become friends, cultivating a feeling of fellowship. Thus, we strongly encourage solo travelers to join our exciting ventures.

This is a one way trek of 10 km. 

Which district is Gokarna in?

Gokarna is in the Uttara Kannada district. 

When is the best time to visit Gokarna?

The winter months (October to February) are generally recommended for a visit to Gokarna. During this time, you can enjoy pleasant weather, explore the beaches, and partake in various activities. However, if you enjoy the monsoon ambiance and don't mind the rain, visiting during the early post-monsoon months (October to November) could also be a good option, as the surroundings will be fresh and green.
