Journey to Ooty As the sun sets over Bangalore, our adventure begins as we head towards the Ooty District. We'll embark on a comfortable journey of 270 km in a Tempo Traveler or a Minibus with push-back seats, ensuring a smooth ride for our hikers.
We'll pick up our fellow explorers at the following locations. Click on each location to see the exact pickup point.
We will leave Bengaluru by 11 PM as we have to reach Bandipura only at 6 AM, as it opens only then. Note for the entire trip: The travel time may vary depending on the traffic and road conditions. Yet, we will make sure that we will cover all the places on the itinerary.
07:00 AM – 10:00 AM: Needle Rock View Point - Arrival and exploration of Needle Rock View Point.
10:00 AM: Check-in - Arrive at accommodation and check-in.
11:30 AM – 12:30 PM: Ooty Lake - Depart to Ooty Lake and enjoy the scenic beauty and boat rides.
01:00 PM – 2:00 PM: Lunch (Self-Sponsored) - Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant of your choice.
02:00 PM – 3:00 PM: Dodda Betta Tea Factory - Visit the Dodda Betta Tea Factory and learn about tea production.
03:00 PM – 5:00 PM: Adventure Activities (Self-Sponsored) - Engage in available adventure activities in the area.
05:00 PM – 7:00 PM: Botanical Garden - Explore the extensive and historic Botanical Gardens.
07:00 PM: Return to Stay - Head back to your accommodation for the evening.
09:30 AM: Checkout - Checkout from the accommodation.
10:00 AM – 11:00 AM: Rose Garden - Visit the beautifully maintained Rose Garden.
11:30 AM – 12:30 PM: Doddabetta Peak - Trek to Doddabetta Peak, the highest point in the Nilgiris.
01:00 PM – 2:00 PM: Lunch (Self-Sponsored) - Have lunch at a preferred eatery.
02:00 PM – 3:00 PM: Pine Tree Forest - Explore the serene pine tree forest.
03:00 PM – 4:00 PM: 6th Mile Shooting Point - Visit the famous shooting point and enjoy the views.
04:00 PM: Depart Ooty for Bangalore - Spend some final moments in Ooty before heading back to Bangalore.
12:00 AM: Reach Bengaluru
Drop-off Points: The drop-off points will be the same as the pick-up points to ensure convenience for all travelers. Please ensure you have all your belongings before leaving the vehicle.

Ensuring the safety and security of women/girls is our utmost priority. Therefore, it is completely safe for women/girls to participate in our treks and travels. Our team of trek leaders always accompanies the group, providing constant support and guidance. Moreover, our campsites are carefully secured and provide a safe environment for accommodation. Additionally, we have female trek leaders who frequently join us on our treks.
If you choose the "Without Transport" option, it means that you will be responsible for making all the travel arrangements for your entire itinerary. The Tripbae crew will not be managing any aspect of your travel. We highly recommend using a car for a seamless travel experience to, from, and within the destination.
We regret to inform you that it is not possible to reschedule your trek to a future date if you are unable to attend on the specified day, regardless of the reasons (such as family emergencies, health issues, or work obligations). The ideal time to visit Ooty is from October to June, when the weather is cool and perfect for exploring its scenic beauty. March to June is especially pleasant for sightseeing, boating, and trekking. Avoid the monsoon season (July to September) as heavy rains can hinder outdoor activities.
