Known for its captivating botanical gardens, charming Rose Garden, and the towering Doddabetta Peak, Ooty offers a range of sightseeing opportunities. Shop for local handicrafts, taste local cuisine, and immerse yourself in the unique culture of this hill station.
If available, don’t miss the opportunity to ride the iconic Toy Train in Ooty. This panoramic train ride gives you a chance to enjoy the stunning views of the Nilgiri hills.

Meet at the designated starting point in Bengaluru and travel to Ooty (about 280 km, 6-7 hours) by private transportation

▪️ 8:30 AM - A brief break for refreshments and an initial exploration of the camping area
▪️ 9:00 AM - Morning tea and breakfast service
▪️ 10:00 AM - Start a trek down the slippery rock to the viewpoint
▪️ 11:00 AM - Engage in a ridge walk to a nearby pond for some foot cooling (4 kms from the campsite)
▪️ 12:00 PM - Adventure on a cave hike and a visit to a tribal house
▪️ 1:30 PM - Lunch will be provided
▪️ 2:30 PM - A visit to Catherine Falls for a refreshing dip in ice-cold mountain water (6 kms), followed by a tour of a tea factory if time allows
▪️ 6:30 PM - Return to base camp; Niligiri tea and snacks will be available
▪️ 7:00 PM - Campfire setup begins
▪️ 8:30 PM - Dinner is served
▪️ 10:00 PM - Retire to the alpine tents for the night
▪️ 3:30 AM - Wake-up call and preparation for the day
▪️ 4:30 AM - Departure to Kodanadu viewpoint for a sunrise view
▪️ 6:30 AM - Return to the base camp
▪️ 7:30 AM - Breakfast at the campsite
▪️ 8:30 AM - Check out from the campsite and travel to Ooty
▪️ 10:00 AM - Arrival in Ooty and engage in activities such as visiting the botanical gardens, Rose Garden, or the Doddabetta Peak
▪️ 1:00 PM - Lunch in Ooty
▪️ 2:00 PM - Post-lunch, possibly take a ride on the Toy Train, if tickets are available*
▪️ 3:00 PM -Visit other attractions or engage in shopping in Ooty
▪️ 4:00 PM - Depart Ooty for Bangalore
▪️ 8:00 PM - Dinner stop on the way to Bangalore
▪️ 11:00 PM - Arrival in Bangalore, with the drop-off points mirroring the pick-up locations.
*The Toy Train ride is subject to ticket availability, with an additional cost of Rs 85. Please note, this is a suggested itinerary and actual times may vary based on factors such as travel conditions, personal pace, and specific interests.

Typically, our treks are confirmed by Thursday, and you will receive a email containing important details such as pickup points (location and timings), the outdoor leader as the point of contact, and a list of do's and don'ts. Additionally, you will be added to a WhatsApp group to stay updated with further information about the trek.
Solo travelers are always welcome to join us on our trips. One of the fascinating aspects of traveling alone is the opportunity to meet people from diverse backgrounds. As the journey progresses, strangers become acquaintances, creating a sense of camaraderie. Therefore, we encourage solo travelers to join us and be a part of our adventures.
Ensuring the safety and security of women/girls is our utmost priority. Therefore, it is completely safe for women/girls to participate in our treks and travels. Our team of trek leaders always accompanies the group, providing constant support and guidance. Moreover, our campsites are carefully secured and provide a safe environment for accommodation. Additionally, we have female trek leaders who frequently join us on our treks.
No, not at all. You can leave any extra luggage at the campsite or homestay and only carry essential items for the trek, such as raincoats, a flashlight, a water bottle, a lunchbox, and any valuables you may have.
No, as you'll be in the mountains, none of our trails offer washroom facilities along the trek.
If you choose the "Without Travel" option, it means that you will be responsible for making all the travel arrangements for your entire itinerary. The Tripbae crew will not be managing any aspect of your travel. We highly recommend using a car for a seamless travel experience to, from, and within the destination.

The available networks along the journey are typically Vodafone, BSNL, and Airtel, but even these may have inconsistencies. Due to the elevated terrain of Kotagiri, only a few spots along the trail have reliable network coverage.
