At Tripbae, travel is more than just visiting places—it’s about leaving them better than we found them. Every weekend, along with our regular treks and trips, we proudly conduct Clean-Up Drives across the trails and destinations we explore. Our goal? To protect the natural beauty of the places we love and promote a culture of sustainable travel and responsible tourism.
Why We Do It
With the growing number of travellers discovering the beauty of the Western Ghats and South India’s stunning trails, there’s also been a rise in litter and environmental damage. Trekking trails that were once pristine are now dotted with plastic waste, snack wrappers, and bottles. As a travel community that believes in giving back to nature, Tripbae has made it a practice to clean up after ourselves—and others—on every journey.
What Happens During the Clean-Up Drives?
At the end of every trek or during rest breaks, our trek leads and participants collect waste from the trail. Gloves, eco-bags, and waste disposal instructions are provided. The collected waste is then brought down and disposed of responsibly, with recyclable materials separated. These drives are simple yet powerful in making a visible impact.
Encouraging Responsible Tourism
We believe in eco-conscious travel that respects local communities, wildlife, and nature. Participants are educated on Leave No Trace principles, including:
- Carrying reusable bottles and lunch boxes
- Avoiding plastic wrappers
- Respecting local culture and biodiversity
- Minimizing noise and disruption
Budget-Friendly Yet Eco-Friendly
Tripbae stands for affordable adventures that don’t compromise on environmental ethics. Whether it’s a one-day trek or a weekend trip, our experiences are budget friendly and designed to have a low environmental footprint. Clean-up drives are a small effort that go a long way in maintaining this balance.
