Kalsubai Peak is located in the Sahyadri mountain range of Maharashtra, near Bari village in Ahmednagar district, approximately 155 km from Mumbai and around 180 km from Pune. It lies close to the scenic Bhandardara region, known for its mountains, lakes, and breathtaking landscapes.

The trek begins from Bari village, the base point for the Kalsubai Trek. The trail passes through farmlands, forest patches, rocky terrain, and thrilling iron ladders, making the climb both adventurous and scenic.

Standing tall at 5,400 feet (1,646 meters), Kalsubai is the highest peak in Maharashtra. At the summit, trekkers are rewarded with panoramic views of surrounding peaks and forts, along with the famous Kalsubai Temple, adding a spiritual touch to the adventure.

Note for the entire trip: The travel time may vary depending on the traffic and road conditions. Yet, we will make sure that we will cover all the places on the itinerary.

 

  • 2.00 AM: reach base village.
  • 2.30 AM: start with the trek.
  • 6.30 AM: reach top. Enjoy. the fascinating view.
  • 9.30 AM: have breakfast.
  • 10.00 AM: start descending.
  • 1.30 PM: reach base. Have lunch.
  • 2.30 PM: Depart back for Pune.
  • 5.30 PM: tea break.
  • 9.30 PM: Reach back to Pune with the drop-off points being the same as the pick-up locations

  • Please bear in mind that this itinerary is subject to change based on weather conditions and other variables. Furthermore, the timings provided are approximate and could vary depending on the group's pace.

-A photocopy of your Aadhar/Voter ID (Compulsory for obtaining permits)

-A compact backpack to hold your necessities during the trek

-Water bottles - 1-2 (Each of 1 liter)
