Our Weekend Getaway – Kodachaddri Trek journey starts by picking up our co-travelers who are excited for their adventurous trekking and to eye-watch aesthetically pleasing sceneries along with our great leads from Tripbae Community who will guide our co-travelers throughout their journey. Pickup points for Kodachaddri Trek and Sightseeing from Bangalore are:
- 7:30 PM – Silk Board
- 8:00 PM – Domlur
- 8:30 PM – MG Road
- 8:50 PM – KTM Mekhri Circle
- 9:30 PM – Govardhan Theatre, Yashwanthpura
Day 0 – Friday
After picking up all our co-travelers we will start our journey towards Kodachaddri Trek and Sightseeing from Bangalore in tempo travelers or minibus with pushup back seats. We will all get to know each other on the bus trip, make new friends, sing songs, dance, and do many more fun activities. Our trekking journey has many key events like Camping, travel diaries, star gazing, sunset view, waterfall visit and flag hoist at the peak.
Day 1 – Saturday
On the next day at 6:00 AM, we will reach our Homestay and get freshen-up also have a yummy breakfast. After that, we will start our hike towards Idlumane Waterfalls. and capture mesmerizing sceneries along our way. Later when we finally reach waterfalls the surreal view of water flowing between the mountains and the sound of water makes you feel calm inside your soul. While eye-witnessing the views we will also photographically capture them in our panoramas so we don’t forget this moment. We will then head towards Koadachaddri Peak and have our packed lunch en route.
Kodachadri is located in the Shimoga district and is one of the most spoken-about trekking trails in Karnataka. Situated in the heart of the Mookambika Wildlife Sanctuary, the Kodachadri trek offers trekkers an adventure, a thrilling, and a stirring experience that will remain with you throughout your lifetime. Kodachadri Trek is known for the expanse of beautiful lush green rolling hills. The hills are covered in lush greenery and spread as far as the naked eye can see. It is situated at a height of 5,735 feet, the grasslands with the Shola forest emerging are something which makes you go weak in your knees. We will reach Homestay at 6:30 PM, get freshen up and take a sip of tea while exploring the artistry of nature. Later we will start our preparation for the campfire and play fun activities, spend time with our co-travelers by singing songs and dancing. After all the joyful time we will have our dinner and take good sleep.
Day 2 – Sunday
Our next day starts with delicious breakfast and by boarding vehicle for visiting Shivappanaika’s Fort at Nagara. The fort is located on the banks of River Tunga, the Shivappa Nayaka Palace is a popular attraction in Shimoga town. A very much sought after destination among tourists, the palace was established by Shivappa Naik of Keladi during the 16th century and was crafted brilliantly out of rosewood. One can witness the relic of a bygone era in a museum that resides inside the palace, showcasing beautiful stone carving and other belongings of the period. We will spend our time sightseeing majestic art work and then we will board our vehicle to go back towards Bangalore at 3:00 PM.
We will get down from the bus at respective drop points at Bangalore with all the unforgettable experiences and recollecting the artistry beauty of nature. Kondachaddri Trek will always stay in our memories and sceneries we came across throughout the journey. This trekking journey will be filled with all the experiences, happy moments, camping and photographically capturing all beautiful sceneries.
