Day 0 – Departure from Bengaluru

Journey to Kodagu

As the sun sets over Bangalore, our adventure begins as we head towards the Tadiandamol or Thadiyandamol mountain in Kodagu District. We'll embark on a comfortable journey of 280 km in a Tempo Traveler or a Minibus with push-back seats, ensuring a smooth ride for our hikers.

We'll pick up our fellow explorers at the following locations. Click on each location to see the exact pickup point.

Note for the entire trip: The travel time may vary depending on the traffic and road conditions. Yet, we will make sure that we will cover all the places on the itinerary.

Day 1 - Climb. Explore. Unwind. Discover Tadiandamol’s untouched beauty!

▪️ 06:00 AM - 9:30 AM: Upon arrival, check into your accommodation, freshen up, and fuel up with a hearty breakfast. Don't forget to grab your packed lunch for the trek.

Note: Forest permits are not included. They are subject to availability and will incur an additional cost of INR 255.

▪️ 08:00 AM – 02:00 PM: Embark on your trek to the summit of Tadiandamol Peak, a journey that will take approximately 6 hours.

▪️ 02:00 PM – 03:00 PM: Enjoy your packed lunch at the peak.

▪️ 03:00 PM – 06:00 PM: Begin your descent, immersing yourself in the distinct beauty of the Shola Forests. Return to the base and then to the homestay over 3 hours.

▪️ 06:00 PM – 06:30 PM: Relax and rejuvenate with a soothing cup of tea.

▪️ 06:30 PM – 08:30 PM: Experience the magical sunset over the breathtaking landscapes of Coorg.

▪️ 08:30 PM: Gather around the campfire to share stories and experiences with fellow travelers. Enjoy a delicious dinner before retiring for the night.

Day - 2 Adventure Awaits: From Dawn Kayaks to Dusk Returns!

▪️ 06:00 AM – 06:30 AM: Wake up early to catch the sunrise (optional) and get ready for the day.

▪️ 06:30 AM – 07:00 AM: Depart for the kayaking location (*expenses not included).

▪️ 07:00 AM – 08:40 AM: Enjoy a thrilling kayaking session in the serene morning waters.

▪️ 08:40 AM – 09:30 AM: Return to the homestay for a hearty breakfast.

▪️ 09:30 AM – 11:30 AM: Travel to Dubare Elephant Camp.

▪️ 11:30 AM – 01:00 PM: Experience the majestic Dubare Elephant Camp.

▪️ 01:00 PM – 01:30 PM: Proceed to the Bylakuppe Tibetan Monastery.

▪️ 01:30 PM – 02:00 PM: Explore the tranquil monastery and delve into its rich history and culture.

▪️ 02:00 PM: Begin the journey back to Bengaluru.

▪️ 02:30 PM: Stop en route for lunch (*expenses not included).

▪️ 09:00 PM: Arrive back in Bengaluru.

Drop-off Points: The drop-off points will be the same as the pick-up points to ensure convenience for all travelers. Please ensure you have all your belongings before leaving the vehicle.

What is included and not in the without-transportation package?

You will have to reach all the places on time as per the itinerary, by yourself. You will also need to synchronize your arrival times with the trek leader in case the Tripbae vehicle's journey experiences any delays. Other than that, accommodation, guidance, permits, and the rest which are mentioned in the included list are included.

Are solo travelers allowed to join?

Yes, solo travelers are more than welcome on our trips. The beauty of solo travel lies in the chance to connect with individuals from varied backgrounds. As the journey unfolds, unfamiliar faces become friends, cultivating a feeling of fellowship. Thus, we strongly encourage solo travelers to join our exciting ventures.

Is it safe for females?

The safety and security of women/girls are paramount to us. Hence, it's entirely safe for women/girls to participate in our treks and travels. Our trek leaders always accompany the group, offering constant assistance and direction. Our camp sites are thoroughly secure and provide a safe lodging environment. In addition, our female trek leaders often join our treks.

Do I need to carry my luggage for the duration of the trek?

No, not at all. You can deposit any surplus luggage at the campsite or homestay, taking only necessary items for the trek, such as a raincoat, flashlight, water bottle, lunch box, and any valuable belongings.

Are there restroom facilities available during the trek?

No, since you'll be traversing the mountains, our trekking routes do not provide restroom facilities.

Can I reschedule my trek to a future date if I am unable to attend on the day of departure?

Unfortunately, it's not feasible to reschedule your trek to a future date if you're unable to attend on the designated day, regardless of the circumstances (like family emergencies, health problems, or work commitments). I've never hiked before. Can I participate in this one?

It is an easy to moderate trek. If you are moderately fir, go for it!

Can I store our luggage at the homestay/tents?

Certainly! You can leave your luggage at the homestay/tents, carrying only the necessary items for your trek.

When is the optimal period to explore Tadiandamol?

From August to April is considered peak season for trekking enthusiasts as these months offer ideal conditions for outdoor excursions. Coorg, where Tadiandamol is located, typically enjoys a mild climate throughout the year. Summer days can be slightly warm, but the nights are usually cool. Winter is another favorite season among trekkers for ascending Nishani Motte due to its comfortably cold and pleasing weather.
